Generating Health Profiles Report

DynamicPacks Health Profiler can generate Dynamic Pack data in HTML, CSV data grid and Treeview formats. This article explains each report format.

Generating HTML Reports:

DynamicPacks Health Profiler generates report in HTML and CSV formats. When you click on “Generate Report” action available on the Right Click Context menu of a Health Profile, DynamicPacks Health Profiler consolidates data generated by all Dynamic Packs and prepares a report in HTML format as shown in the screenshot below:

The HTML report shows the execution status of each Dynamic Pack and Dynamic Pack data in a table.

Filtering Columns in the report: In case you need to filter columns in the HTML report, you select the columns that you would like to display in the report from the “Filter Columns” pane as shown in the screenshot below:

As you can see in the above screenshot, I filtered columns “HostName, IPv4Address, IsGlobalCatalog, and Name” columns for “Get Active Directory Forest Domain Controller Info” Dynamic Pack. Once you have selected the columns to be displayed in the HTML report, click on “Save Columns” and then click on “Save and Run” button to regenerate the reports with selected columns. When you generate the report next time, DynamicPacks Health Profiler will apply filtered columns for each Dynamic Pack.

Exporting Report: DynamicPacks Health Profiler stores Dynamic Pack data under .\Data folder. DynamicPacks Health Profiler shows the path of the HTML report in the browser window as shown in the screenshot above. The HTML report file name for this Health Profile is C:\DynamicPacks-AD Health Profiler\Data\Health Profile 1.HTML.

Generate Report” action is also available on the Right Click context menu of a Dynamic Pack.  When you click on the “Generate Report” action on a Dynamic Pack, DynamicPacks Health Profiler will show the HTML report only for the selected Dynamic Pack as shown in the screenshot below:

Generating CSV Data:

DynamicPacks Health Profiler also generates reports in CSV format. The CSV data for each Dynamic Pack is displayed in the data grid when you click on the “Generate Data” action available on the Right Click context menu of a Dynamic Pack.

As you can see in the screenshot below, I selected “Get Active Directory Forest Domain Controller Info” Dynamic Pack and then clicked on “Generate Data” action to show Dynamic Pack data in a data grid.

Data grid supports two functions:

  • Search data in any column: If you need to search data in any column, you need to first select the column and then type the text in “Search Data” textbox as shown in the screenshot above.
  • Filter columns: You can check/uncheck the columns to be displayed in the data grid by using the Filter Columns pane shown in the screenshot above.

Generating Treeview Data:

Generating Treeview data is a great feature of DynamicPacks Health Profiler. It allows you to view Dynamic Pack data in a Treeview format as shown in the screenshot below.

Before you can generate Treeview for Dynamic Pack data, you need to select a “Top Node” and then select the child nodes. As you can see in the screenshot above, for “Get Active Directory Forest Domain Controller Info” Dynamic Pack data, I selected “HostName” column as the Top Node and all other columns as the Child Nodes. You can check/uncheck the child nodes you want to display under the Top Node.

Note: Generate Data” and “Generate Treeview” actions are available only on the Right Click context menu of a Dynamic Pack.
